Traditional family pastry shop serving artisanal cakes and desserts made with original recipes since 1978 in Antigua Guatemala.
This established pastry shop has been serving the community since 1978, when it was founded as a family business by Doña Margarita and Don Héctor in Antigua Guatemala. The bakery specializes in traditional artisanal cakes and desserts made using original family recipes passed down through generations. What sets them apart is their commitment to traditional preparation methods, using quality ingredients like flour, eggs, milk, butter, and baking powder without shortcuts or artificial additives. The business operates multiple locations throughout Antigua Guatemala, including their flagship Centro location, Garden location offering a unique nature experience, and branches in Plaza Jocotenango and El Encuentro. Their name "La Cenicienta" (Cinderella) comes from an interesting local story - during volcanic eruptions from Volcán de Fuego near their founding date, dedicated bakers would arrive at work covered in ash, earning them the nickname "cenicientas." The pastry shop has become a historical heritage of the city, trusted by multiple generations of locals and visitors to celebrate their happiest moments with handcrafted desserts that represent a piece of Antigua's culinary history.
